Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012130641A1] An elevator installation (1) intended for modernization has at least one elevator with a car (3) with an input device (4) arranged therein and having input buttons (5) for inputting the desired storey. A method for modernizing the elevator installation is characterized by the fact that storey terminals (8) for inputting a destination storey call are installed on the stories of the building, said storey terminals being coupled to the control device (6) connected to the car-side input device in such a way that, at least in a standard mode after input of the destination storey call detected by means of the storey terminal (8), the car (3) travels automatically to the selected destination storey and, in this case, a storey selection using the input device (4) in the car (3) is no longer possible. The display means for displaying selected storeys of the input device (4) are incorporated in the control system during the modernization in such a way that the display means are activated once a storey call has been input via the storey terminal (8).
