[origin: EP2505986A1] The device has a spectral expanding and/or spectral collecting component e.g. terahertz diffraction grating (13), connected with an imaging system (5) e.g. lens system, for converting frequency information into location information. Spatial expansion of terahertz radiation in a spatial direction lies outside a propagation direction. The imaging system is designed from a combination of a lens, mirrors and a diffractive optics so that the expanded terahertz radiation is focused on a focus line (25). The imaging system is arranged between a sample and the component. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing an imaging terahertz measurement.
