[origin: WO2012131528A1] The invention relates to an induction heating device, in particular an induction hot plate device, comprising at least one control unit (34), at least two heating frequency units (30, 32) and at least two induction heating units (20, 22, 24, 26). The aim of the invention is to provide a device of said type with improved efficiency. As such, the control device (34) is designed to operate said induction heating units (20, 22, 24, 26) respectively in a boost mode, in at least one operational mode in which said at least two induction heating units (20, 22, 24, 26) operate alternatively.
