[origin: EP2692627A2] The submarine rescue suit (2) is formed as a catsuit with a cover (4) protecting the head of a user. The cover forms a breathable gas reservoir for the user. The submarine rescue suit comprises a unit for controlling the gas pressure in the cover and a unit for reducing the buoyancy rate. The cover forms a gas tight unit with the rest of the submarine rescue suit. A gas outlet valve (10) is provided for pressure equalization with its outside environment. The gas outlet valve is controlled in pressure-dependent manner.
