Abstract (en)

A ship with improved propulsion performance and steering performance is provided. A water flow forming path 3 is formed in a ship's bottom 2, and a propeller 6 disposed in the water flow forming path 3 and a rudder 8 on a rear side of the propeller 6 are provided. A movable side of the rudder 8 faces toward a bow 1a. As a result of this, thrust increases due to generation of a rapid stream by the propeller 6 in the water flow forming path 3, so that the propulsion performance improves and the steering performance improves because the rapid stream in the water flow forming path 3 acts on the rudder 8. In a ship 1 with an outboard motor 14, a vertical channel 13 is provide in a stern 4, and replacement can be made by bringing down the outboard motor 14 through the vertical channel 13 to the water flow forming path 3. Accordingly, it is easy to take action against a breakdown when being alone. Also, as the propeller 6 of the outboard motor 14 is recessed from the surface of the ship's bottom, it is possible to pull the boat onto the beach and let it down into the sea while leaving the outboard motor 14 as it is.
