[origin: EP2692968A2] The knob cylinder (10) has an electronic locking cylinder (16) with a cylinder housing (21) that is inserted into a door lock, and a lock bit (18) rotatably attached with respect to the housing. The lock bit actuates locking devices of the lock. An inner knob (12) and an outer knob (14) are used as a handle for actuating the bit and are attached at an end of a shaft of the locking cylinder. A counter nut securing the knobs is screwed on the shaft, and a displaceable bolt connects the knobs with the nut and/or the shaft. The bolt is actuated from outside and displaced along radial direction. An independent claim is also included for a tool for a knob cylinder comprising jaws.
