Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2693456A1] A coil actuator for an electric switching device which can be actuated during its operation from an open position to a closed position so as to allow a current flowing therethrough and from the closed position to the open position so as to interrupt such current flowing. The coil actuator is adapted to cause actuations of the switching device and comprises electronic means arranged to: - count a first operation time associated to a first actuation of the switching device caused by the coil actuator; - determine a correction time by using the counted first operation time; - use the correction time to correct an operation time associated to at least one subsequent actuation of the switching device caused by the coil actuator and occurring after the first actuation; - count the corrected operation time associated to said at least one subsequent actuation. The correction time is suitable to at least reduce the difference between a target operation time and the counted corrected operation time associated to said at least one subsequent actuation.
