[origin: WO2013139913A1] The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for coating an essentially cylindrical substrate with a fluid, comprising at least one nozzle (3) with a nozzle channel (3) through which the substrate can be automatically guided in order to be coated. According to the invention, the nozzle (3) is formed from at least two nozzle elements (3.1, 3.2), the opposite-lying internal walls of which each form a partial section of the nozzle channel (K), the nozzle elements (3.1, 3.2) being displaceable at least perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis (L) of the nozzle channel (K) such that a cross-section of the nozzle channel (K) can be variably adjusted according to a cross-section of the substrate.
