[origin: WO2012137124A1] The invention relates to a method for producing an iron soleplate (10), characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: applying a graphic made of baking finish (20) to part of an aluminum surface (11) of the soleplate, the surface of the soleplate being designed to slide across the fabrics to be ironed during ironing, baking the iron soleplate (10) in order to cure the baking finish (20), and anodizing the aluminum surface (11), which is provided with the graphic made of baking finish (20), in order to increase the surface hardness of the aluminum not provided with the baking finish. The present invention surprisingly improves the prior art of iron soleplates (10) for which at least the surface (11) is made of anodized aluminum with baking finish.
