The invention, in particular according to claims 1, 16 and 17, discloses an effective method for providing and collecting information by means of an Internet browser, comprising the following steps: providing a first memory location and at least two memory sublocations on a server, the memory sublocations being combined with the first memory location and the first memory location being writable with data by a first group of users via an Internet browser. In order to verbally describe an object, product or method that is to be searched and represent it on a browser, the first group of users loads a description of the searchable object into the first memory of the server. The first and the second memory sublocations can be written with data by a second group of users via an Internet browser. The user carrying out the search, i.e. the crowd searcher, provides in this way information that applies to the searchable object, product or method, i.e. the subject matter of the search. The user can provide a termination signal when the button "Submit" is pressed by the web searcher. In this case, the input in the first and second memory sublocations is stored by the user on the server.
