Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2695842A1] An elevator system is obtained, in which an upper braking member can be surely inserted into a predetermined position, and by which safety of and the reliability for passengers can be improved. In order to achieve the present invention, the elevator system includes an operation lever pivoting by a lift-up rod connected to a governor rope, a first active lever whose one end is mounted to each of upper wedges, while whose other end is perpendicularly fixed to an upper pivot axis, a second active lever whose one end is mounted to each of lower wedges, while whose other end is perpendicularly fixed to a lower pivot axis which extends in a direction that the lower wedges face each other, and is pivotably mounted to a lower portion of an mounting frame, and a linkage, whose length is previously set, for connecting, in an up-and-down direction, a one end of a third active lever whose other end is perpendicularly fixed to the upper pivot axis, with a one end of a fourth active lever whose other end is perpendicularly fixed to the lower pivot axis, in which a distance to the lower wedges from a lower stopper plate, provided in a position where braking force is imparted to contact the lower wedges, is set longer, by the linkage, than a distance to the upper wedges from an upper stopper plate, provided in a position where braking force is imparted to contact the upper wedges.
