Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2696439A2] The contact i.e. insertion pin (10), has two contact cutting edges (26) formed within a contact region (19) for representation of a four-point contact and a diagonal contact with a circular aperture of a printed circuit board. A clearance i.e. needle eye (18), is formed between spring legs (14, 16). The contact cutting edges are arranged at an outer side of the spring legs in a central position and extend through the contact region in an axial direction of the pin. The circular aperture comprises a copper ring or a copper sleeve. The spring legs comprise a rectangular cross section area.
