[origin: WO2012140476A1] In one or more embodiments described herein, there is provided an apparatus comprising a processor, and a memory having computer program code stored thereon. The computer program code and memory are configured to, when run on the processor, cause the apparatus to determine respective circular polarisation characteristics of radio frequency identification signalling received from multiple sources by a directional antenna, and also to discriminate the radio frequency identification signalling from a particular source based on the respective circular polarisation characteristics of the radio frequency identification signalling received from the multiple sources.
