[origin: WO2012143163A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for dewatering a fibrous web (W), in particular a paper, cardboard or tissue web with a press zone (20) which is formed by an evacuated mating element (3) with a curved surface and by a permeable press belt (2) which wraps at least partially around the curved surface and has a running side (19) and a contact side (18), and wherein the fibrous web (W) is guided through the press zone (20) such that it lies with a first side on a permeable carrier belt (6), and the carrier belt (6) is arranged in the process between the mating element (3) and the fibrous web (W), wherein the device is designed in such a way that a fluid can flow through the press belt (2), the fibrous web (W) and the permeable carrier belt (6) at least in a part region of the press zone (20). The invention is characterized in that the permeable press belt (2) makes contact by way of its contact side (18) with the second side of the fibrous web (W) and is configured in such a way that a tensile stress of at least 20 kN/m, preferably of at least 30 kN/m can be applied in order to generate a press pressure in the press zone (20) and that the structure of the contact side (18) is adapted to the quality of the fibrous web (W) to be produced.
