Abstract (en)

An aluminum cast alloy comprises 3-8 wt.% silicon, 0.3-0.6 wt.% magnesium, 0.25-0.35 wt.% chromium, less than 0.18 wt.% iron, less than 0.06 wt.% manganese, less than 0.16 wt.% titanium, less than 0.006 wt.% copper, 0.010-0.030 wt.% strontium, less than 0.006 wt.% zirconium, less than 0.006 wt.% zinc, and less than 0.1 wt.%, preferably less than 0.005 wt.% unavoidable impurities. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) preparation of aluminum cast alloy; and (2) cast component.
