Abstract (en)
The method involves providing a coating formulation comprising a UV-curable binder, a reactive diluent and a photo-initiator in a layer having preset thickness. The coating formulation is transported on a conveyor system with a belt speed under suspension of short-wave UV radiation by a radiation source. The gloss levels of obtained coatings are measured. The correlation curve is created by plotting the short-wave UV radiation dose to the degree of gloss. The desired gloss level is selected and the necessary short-wave UV radiation dose is determined using the correlation curve.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Einstellung verschiedener Glanzgrade bei strahlengehärteten Lacken, die daraus resultierenden strahlengehärteten Lacke mit unterschiedlichen Glanzgraden, dafür geeignete strahlenhärtbare Lackformulierungen, und die Verwendung der resultierenden Lacke zum Modifizieren, z.B. Beschichten oder graduellen Mattieren von Oberflächen von Substraten wie beispielsweise Kunstoffplatten oder -folien insbesondere Polycarbonat und/oder Polyesterplatten oder -folien.
