[origin: EP2706012A1] The tray sealing machine (1) has a sealing device (3) and a gripper system (12) that is provided with the guides for the transfer carriages (13), where the transfer carriages are driven along the guides by a lifting drive. A pivoting device (14) of the gripper system is provided with the vertically disposed swivel pins. The gripper arms (15) are moved relative to each other by the pivoting device and in a plane parallel to a transport plane (E). A parallelogram linkage is provided in the pivoting device for each gripper arm. The swivel pins are coupled to each other by a lever mechanism.
