[origin: EP2706300A2] The method involves measuring an air mass flow supplied to the blower with an air flow meter and a blower speed at a given time point. The blower is operated during constant air mass flow. The gas is supplied in flow direction towards air flow meter into the air mass flow, so that the blower supplies a gas-air-mixture, so that the blower changes the air mass flow into another air mass flow. The latter air mass flow is measured with the air flow meter and another blower speed resulting from the gas supply. The former blower speed is compared with the latter blower speed. An independent claim is included for a gas combustion device with a gas burner.
