[origin: EP2522885A1] The arrangement has an annular sealing element (44) that closes a shaft (16) which stands in contact with a liquid melted mass (10) made from aluminum or aluminum alloy. The sealing element is made of carbon and a ceramic or metallic material. The shaft is provided in containment area of the sealing element with a coating (60). The resistance of the coating of the shaft is higher than the resistance of the sealing element. The sealing element and the coating are mode from diamond-like carbon, zirconium oxide, aluminum titanate, boron nitride or tungsten. The shaft is made of steel material.
