[origin: EP2708818A2] The device has a variable cooking surface (14) which is provided with an indication unit (16) that is adapted to select a cooking zone of variable cooking surface. A control unit (18) which is configured to select the function of inputs took place in the to-be-identified cooking zone of variable cooking surface through a navigation unit (30). The indication unit is configured to mark the selected to-be-identified cooking zone, which is arranged separately from the navigation unit.
