[origin: EP2708821A1] The extractor hood (2) has a blower (3), a filer element (4) and a suction area (5) for waste steam, where a section of the suction area is detachably held in a position and is movable from one position to another position. A holding device having magnetic retaining force is provided in former position, where the magnetic retaining force of the holding device is varied by using an adjusting device. A stopper acting against the magnetic retaining force of the holding device is provided, where the adjusting device has an adjusting unit, which interacts with the stopper.
