Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2524729A1] Lignite is ground and dried to obtain lignite dust in a mill with a low-oxygen gas and a drying gas inlet temperature more than ignition temperature of lignite. The dried and ground dust is discharged from the mill by a primary carrier gas. The conveyed dust is rinsed with a dry oxygen-poor gas to replace carrier gas with secondary feed gas. The dust is further conveyed by another carrier gas and stored in a silo at temperature of 60[deg] C in low oxygen-containing dry atmosphere. Thus, drying, grinding and storage of lignite are enabled.
