[origin: WO2012156088A1] The invention relates to a lighting unit (1), in particular for a household appliance, for example, for the drum of a washing machine, of a laundry drier or the like, having a printed circuit board (5), having a lamp (6) arranged on the printed circuit board (5) and having a socket (3) for holding the printed circuit board (5). The printed circuit board (5) is arranged on a metal holding part (8) in such a manner that a good heat conducting contact is established between the printed circuit board (5) and the holding part (8). Moreover, the holding part (8) is attached to the socket (3) in such a manner that a good heat transmission from the holding part (8) to the socket (3) is also established.
