The method involves holding and placing the fibers (4) for forming an applicator main portion (6) through a support structure (5) in a particular applicator form (1), by performing rolling, embossing, punching and/or printing processes with respect to applicator shape. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Applikators 1 für kosmetische Produkte, insbesondere für Kosmetika zum Schminken von Wimpern, Augenbrauen und Haaren, wobei Fasern 4 zur Bildung eines Auftragskörpers 6 mittels eines Trägerkörpers 5 gehalten und in eine insbesondere bürstchenartige Form gebracht werden, wobei der aus Trägerkörper 5 und Fasern 4 vorbereitete bürstchenartige Applikator 1 durch einen Walz-, Präge-, Stanz- und/oder Druckvorgang hinsichtlich seiner Form, Oberflächenbeschaffenheit und/oder Struktur bezogen auf den Zustand vor dem Walz-, Präge-, Stanz- und/oder Druckvorgang modifiziert wird.
