[origin: EP2712603A1] The medical container (10) has a particle barrier, which is formed in form of a particle collecting chamber (220) for collecting produced particles while making a welded connection. The particle barrier extends radially between a connecting sleeve (200) and a closure cap (300) and axially between an annular surface (218) of the connecting sleeve or a connecting-piece-annular surface (106) and radial projection spaced axially from the annular surface. The radial projection projects radially outwards from the connecting sleeve or radially inwards from the closure cap.
