[origin: EP2712962A2] The device (1) has a connection unit (8) comprising two parallel wall parts that are arranged at a predetermined distance from each other. A rail element (6) is mountable at bottom sides of a mobile protective wall element (2) and another mobile protective wall element. The connection unit is mountable above the rail element and between the wall elements to produce a reinforcing connection of the wall elements to each other in a preset alignment. The rail element and the connection unit are formed as separate components and arranged at a distance from each other. An independent claim is also included for a mobile protective wall.
