The refrigerator and/or freezer (10) has a cooled interior including an upper wall, a rear wall and an open front side, which is closable by a door. The upper wall includes an illuminating unit (40) in a region, which is arranged close to the open front side than at the rear wall. The illuminating unit includes a movable part, which is arranged such that distribution of light delivered by the illuminating unit depends on a position of the movable part. The illuminating unit includes LEDs as illuminants. The movable part is translationally and/or rotationally movable.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Kühl- und/oder Gefriergerät mit wenigstens einem gekühlten Innenraum, der zumindest eine obere Wandung, zumindest eine Rückwand und zumindest eine offene Frontseite aufweist, und mit wenigstens einer Tür, die derart angeordnet ist, dass mittels der Tür die offene Frontseite des Innenraums verschließbar ist, wobei die obere Wandung des gekühlten Innenraums in einem Bereich wenigstens eine Beleuchtungseinheit aufweist. Vorzugsweise ist dabei der Bereich näher an der offenen Frontseite als an der Rückwand des Innenraums angeordnet.
