[origin: WO2012159139A1] Disclosed is a fastening device (1) for releasably mounting a front cover (101) on a drawer (102), in particular on a side wall (100) of the drawer, comprising: - at least one furniture fitting (2) that is pre-assembled on the front cover (101); - a catching mechanism (10) that is associated with the drawer (102), automatically retains the furniture fitting (2) when the furniture fitting (2) is inserted, and includes a movable catching element (11) having a positioning contour (12); and - a locking mechanism (20) for the catching mechanism (10), said locking mechanism (20) preventing the furniture fitting (2) from being accidentally released from the catching mechanism (10) and being equipped with a positioning member (4) which can move within a guide track (3) and rests against the positioning contour (12) of the catching element (11).
