Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012153006A1] The invention relates to dry toilets, including a seat unit (1) which connected to a chamber (2), said chamber being provided with a device for separating the liquid waste from the solid waste from the seat unit (1), a means for generating at least one convection airflow in the chamber (2) so as to evaporate the liquid waste and to dry the solid waste, said chamber (2) being provided with: a plurality of stacked stages (51, 52) among which the liquid waste is distributed; a means for directing a convection airflow (F1, F2) into each of the stages (51, 52) so as to evaporate the liquid waste contained in each of the stages (F1, F2); and at least one air inlet (E, E1, E2) and at least one discharge outlet (S), a convection airflow (F1, F2) being induced between said inlet and said outlet, characterized in that the chamber (2) is provided with a single air inlet (E) through which a main convection airflow (F) enters, wherein a baffle (D1) is arranged opposite said inlet, said baffle being configured to split said main flow and to direct a portion (F1, F2) of said flow towards each of the stages (51, 52) for receiving the liquid waste.
