Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012163525A1] The invention is intended to present a method by means of which a sheet-material tube (4) containing a plurality of product stacks (8), in particular of hygiene products, is separated into packaging bags (28), each containing one or two product stacks (8), and by means of which it is possible to achieve particularly high throughput and production rates. For this purpose, according to the invention, the tubular sheet material (16) intended for forming the sheet-material tube (4) is provided with perforations at the intended severing locations, wherein the product stacks (8) are then wrapped in the tubular sheet material (16), and the resulting sheet-material tube (4) is torn apart at the severing location provided in each case.
