[origin: WO2012159733A1] The invention relates to an annealing device for annealing plates of metal, said device comprising a heating device for heating the plates of metal and a balancing device for maintaining the plates of metal at a substantially constant temperature. The balancing device comprises a stack and transport mechanism for stacking the plates of metal heated in the heating device one on top of the other in the balancing device and for transporting the heated plates of metal through the balancing device in a vertical direction which is perpendicular to its main extension planes.
