[origin: WO2012159876A1] The invention relates to a method for removing long fibres from a fibrous material suspension. The aim of the invention is to separate out long fibres as simply as possible. Said aim is achieved in that a jet (1) of the fibrous material suspension is directed at the rotor blades (2) of a rotor, wherein the jet direction forms an angle of less than 45° with the rotation axis (3), and longer fibres which adhere to the rotor blades (2) are thrown off owing to the centrifugal force of the rotor blades (2) and collected separately.
