A vacuum cleaner (1) includes a suction head (100) including a cover (200) and a bottom plate (600) provided with a suction hole (640) through which air is sucked from a surface to be cleaned and rotatably combined with the cover (200). The bottom plate (600) is rotated in one direction relative to the cover (200) when the suction head (100) moves forward, and is rotated in the other direction relative to the cover (200) when the suction head (100) moves backward. Further, the vacuum cleaner (10) includes a brush base (400) including brushes (450) and movable upward and backward between the cover (200) and the bottom plate (600). The brush base (400) includes indicating parts (480) exposed to the outside of the cover (200) and forming at least a portion of the external appearance of the suction head (100).
