[origin: EP2716330A1] The stationary exercise bike has a foot pedal mechanism (2), which is coupled with a flywheel (5) by a gear ratio, and a magnetic braking device (8), which interacts with the flywheel and is altered in its braking effect, and a calculation device (13) with an associated display device (14). A calibration table is placed in the calculation device containing multiple defined brake device adjustments. The actual-running time of the flywheel is determined during a given reference adjustment of the brake device for calibration once by a measuring device (10) or the calculation device. An independent claim is included for a method for calibrating the performance indication of a stationary exercise bike determined by a calculation device.
