The unit has a diffuser (4) comprising an interface (20) i.e. circulating radial flange, to which a diffuser cap (22) is connected with another interface (23). The diffuser cap is releasably connected with the diffuser. A cladding of the diffuser cap consists of skirt portions (16) that are connected through form closure parts. The form closure parts produce a positive connection with the cladding in a circumferential direction and permit the connection transverse to the circumferential direction.

Die Ventilatoreinheit hat einen Ventilator (3) und einen ihm zugeordneten Diffusor (4). Zur Erhöhung des statischen Wirkungsgrades des Ventilators und zur Verringerung des Ventilatorgeräusches ist an den Diffusor (4) ein Diffusoraufsatz (22) so angeschlossen, dass die Innenwand (24) des Diffusoraufsatzes (22) eine stetige Fortsetzung der Innenwand (25) des Diffusors (4) bildet. Der Diffusor (4) und der Diffusoraufsatz (22) sind jeweils mit einer Schnittstelle (20, 23) versehen, mittels denen die beiden Teile verbunden werden können.
