[origin: EP2716978A2] The domestic appliance (1) has a receiving space (2) and a hinged door (1a) for closing the receiving space. A receiving unit (15) for receiving a carrier element (16), is arranged in the receiving space, and has a coupling unit that is coupled to the hinged door. The pivoting movement of the hinged door is transferred to the receiving unit through the coupling unit, and the receiving unit is moved in the receiving space. The coupling unit is connected with a hinge (12) of the flap door. An independent claim is included for a method for operating domestic appliance.
