[origin: WO2012168476A1] The invention relates to a bridging device (1) in center beam construction method for a building joint (2) between two structural parts (3, 4) having at least two edge profiles (5, 6) each dedicated to a structural part, and having at least one center beam (7) arranged between the edge profiles (5, 6) and on at least one of the cross beams (8) bridging the building joint (2). The invention is characterized in that the bridging device (1) is provided with at least two center beams (7), which are arranged in a shear-resistant manner on a shared cross beam (5) spaced fixedly (FA) to one another when in use, wherein the connection (9) between at least one center beam (7) and the cross beam (8) is made in the manner of a predetermined breaking point.
