[origin: WO2012167311A1] An adjustable support arm for an articulated support assembly for an object such as a flat screen monitor including a first and second pivotal connector located at a first and second end of an elongate body. A first and second linkage member interconnects the first and second pivotal connectors. The second linkage member includes means to impose a tensile force between the first and second pivotal connectors, and includes manual adjustment means to allow a user to increase or decrease the amount of tensile force applied by the second linkage member. In use the load carrying capacity of the support arm is manually adjustable without the need for any external tooling or disassembly of the support arm assembly.
