Abstract (en)
A method for controlling a domestic refrigeration appliance comprising an evaporator, a first temperature sensor placed in the cavity of the refrigeration appliance and a second temperature sensor placed on the evaporator, comprises estimating the amount of frost on the evaporator on the basis of an integral over time of the difference between the temperature of the cavity and the temperature of the evaporator and performing a defrost cycle when the above integral is above a predetermined threshold value.
