Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013010587A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling at least one charging device (25) for electrically charging a traction battery (39) of a vehicle (37) which can be electrically driven. In this method, after a short message (K1) which originates from a mobile communications terminal (1) is received at a short message control centre (11), wherein this short message (K1) contains information about a charging device (25) and about a desired charging period, this charging device (25) is switched (B2) to the ready-to-charge state for the charging period, whereupon the vehicle (37) can be charged by means of the charging device (25) during this charging period. Before the end of the charging period, it is ascertained whether the short message control centre (11) has received a further short message (K6) which originates from the communications terminal (1) and contains information about a desired extension of the charging period, and after a further short message (K6) of this kind is received, the charging device (25) is additionally switched to the ready-to-charge state for the desired extension of the charging period. The vehicle (37) can then also be charged by means of the charging device (25) during this extension of the charging period. The invention also relates to a control device.
