Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2721951A1] The furniture (1) has a movable furniture part (3) e.g. vertically adjustable tabletop, moved by a drive (10). A controller (30) controls the drive. The furniture part includes an operating section (3b) i.e. corner region, movably arranged on a main part (3a) of the furniture part. A force sensor (20) measures a force exerted on the section, and is connected to the controller. The tabletop includes a weak point with a reduced cross section at a transition to the section. The controller is switched from an operating state to another operating state by operating an activation switch (40). The drive is an electric motor.
