[origin: EP2721956A1] The seat (1) has adjustable seat depth (X), a seat base plate (2) and a linear guide (4) provided in the front plate (3). The front edge (5) of the front plate is provided with a pad deflection device (6) having a slide guide (7), a pad carrier (8), and slider elements (10). The slider elements and the slide guide are constructed and arranged such that, upon displacement of front plate relative to seat base plate along the linear guide, the variation of seat depth by the displacement of slider elements along the slide guide is compensated. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an office chair; and (2) an installation method of seat.
