[origin: EP2722453A1] The space divider (1) comprises a holding element (3) that is adapted for holding a sheet-like wall element (2). The wall element comprises a frame (5) made of light metal and/or plastic, and a fabric (6) formed of partially optically transparent, optically reflective and/or sound-absorbing layer. The wall element is pivoted between two positions of the holding element through a hinge (4). The wall element is arranged, such that a vertically-oriented surface at one position and a horizontally oriented surface at other position of the holding element are covered.
