[origin: EP2724641A1] The chair (10) has a backrest (12), a seat (11) with a seating surface, a seat carrier (14) and an adjusting mechanism (16). A seat tilt adjustment device is configured to partially tilt the seat surface in a vertical direction. A synchronous mechanism is coupled with the backrest and the seat, through which the backrest is tilted towards the rear relative to the seat in a horizontal direction. The synchronous mechanism is arranged, such that the seat tilt adjustment device is deactivated in a rearwardly inclined state of the backrest.
