[origin: EP2724759A1] The device (1) has a binding mechanism (3) including a boot-retaining device (32) that allows rotation of a user boot (4) about an axis (Y) transverse to a longitudinally extending gliding board (2) i.e. ski, between a raised position in relation to the gliding board and a lowered position in relation to the gliding board. A pulling arrangement e.g. non-elastic band (5) is adapted for pulling a shovel of the board. A fastening mechanism i.e. strap (9), fixes the arrangement to the user boot. A length-adjusting device (6) adjusts length of the arrangement. The boot is an alpine ski boot. The pulling arrangement is a cord or rope and a metal cable.
