Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a glow plug comprising a hollow body (7), a proximal rod (6) connected electrically to an external connector (20), a heating rod (3) and a distal rod (2), characterised in that the glow plug comprises an electrically insulating internal sleeve (5) disposed between the conducting rods (2, 6) and the plug body (7), the said sleeve bringing about mechanical and electrical contact between the proximal rod (6) and the distal rod (2) at their joint, and keeping the conducting rods (2, 6) at a distance from the plug body (7).
