The present invention includes a washing tub, a washing unit, a washing pump, a heating unit, a temperature detection unit, and a control unit. In the washing, the control unit performs: spraying the washing water by the washing unit while the washing water is heated by the heating unit, at a start time; when the temperature of the washing water reaches a first predetermined temperature, stopping the heating of the washing water for only a predetermined time and spraying the washing water. Thereafter, the control unit controls to perform spraying the washing water by the washing unit while the washing water is heated by the heating unit again, until the temperature of the washing water reaches a second predetermined temperature. This can achieve a dishwasher capable of sufficiently removing dirt dried and stuck on eating utensils and dirt stuck on cooking utensils during cooking.
