[origin: EP2727868A1] The apparatus (2) has a compressed air device (10) arranged essentially parallel to rotational axes (6) of folding rollers (5) on a side (4) of a guide plane (3). A set of control elements (17, 18, 20) is connected to a compressed air source (14) and a control unit (16) and activateable by the control unit such that an exit opening (11) that is admitted with compressed air (12), a cross-sectional surface (19) of the exit opening and pressure of the compressed air supplied to the exit opening are changeable to adapt to properties of available print sheet (1) during a time interval. An independent claim is also included for a method for folding print sheets.
