[origin: EP2727869A1] The apparatus (2) has a folding gap (7) which is defined between two folding rollers (5). A compressed air device is arranged in region of folding gap on second side (9) of guide plane (3) opposite the first side (4) of plane. The compressed air device (10) is provided with segments (32) connected with compressed air source (14) and control unit (16). Each segment is provided with control element (17) and exit opening (11) with cross-sectional surface (19) for compressed air focused onto gap. Each segment is configured to be separately activated with compressed air. An independent claim is included for a method of folding print sheets.
