Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2730182A2] The device has a conveyor device (20) for moving a smoking article (10) along a conveying direction (X), cutting devices (70,70'73), discharge devices to remove a smoking article portion and an ejector (80) for removing a body (16) of a filter (14) of the smoking article. The conveyor device is designed as an endless conveyor belt (25) having multiple receptacles (52) for smoking articles. The cutting device cuts the filter of the smoking article along its cross-section, particularly vertically to the conveying direction of the conveying device. An independent claim is included for a method for recovery of smoking article portions from smoking articles.
